Sergio Sismondo is a Professor in the Departments of Philosophy and Sociology at Queen’s University, Ontario. His current research is on the political economy of pharmaceutical knowledge, looking at relations between research and marketing in a variety of areas running from clinical trials through medical education. He is co-editor with Jeremy Greene of The Pharmaceutical Studies Reader (Wiley-Blackwell, 2015). He also is the author of An Introduction to Science and Technology Studies (2nd ed., Wiley-Blackwell, 2010) and a number of other general and philosophical works in STS. He is Editor of the journal Social Studies of Science.
